As part of our Superhero’s theme, the Anchor Boys had a visit to Lisburn Fire Station. The boys were shown all around the station by the friendly fire fighters. We got to try on the uniforms and some of the special protective equipment worn when fighting fires. We then got to see around the fire engines and all of the special equipment used to fight fires, and to help people involved in accidents. The day finished off with the boys getting to use the powerful hoses to put out some pretend fires. Everyone had a great day. We would like to thank all of the brave fire fighters we met on the day for being so friendly and giving up their Saturday to answer all of our questions !
