The Company Section had their annual Summer Camp at Crawfordsburn. Over twenty boys came along to the weekend and we were very fortunate with the weather which made it even better !
The group spent Saturday exploring the surroundings and taking part in some beach games which were followed by a high-level climbing session using the centre’s climbing walls. After a tasty BBQ, we stocked up on confectionary supplies and then headed out for some night activities. Everyone was quite tired after the physical activities of the day, so we had a movie night.
On Sunday morning some of Senior boys took a special Sunday Service. The boys gave their testimony and explained some of the challenges of being a Christian teenager. It was fantastic to hear the boys speak on these issues and to see how they have grown in their faith.
In the afternoon we took part in a group assault course challenge which included a water jump. Some boys ended up wetter than others but it was great fun.
After another BBQ for dinner, we were joined by Stephen Robinson who hopes to help out with the Company Section this year. Stephen introduced the boys to some new games, including an exciting capture the glow-stick one which everyone loved.
On Monday before heading home, the boys had an exciting session of grass-boarding. We would like to thank all of the boys for coming to the camp and to all of the officers who gave up their time to organise and run the camp.
